The Graveyard Book by Craig Russell – Review by Rebecca, Teen Blogger

The Graveyard Book - book coverThe Graveyard Book was originally a novel by Neil Gaiman, the author of Coraline and Good Omens. It is the story of a little boy left in a cemetery to be raised by a group of friendly ghosts and ghouls. The Graveyard Book has been adapted by author Craig Russell into a graphic novel. The library has it, which is really cool because it’s a great book. It follows the story of Nobody Owens and his ghostly friends, as well as his ghost father figure, Silas. If you’re a fan of the novel then this is one graphic novel you’ll really want to place a hold on. Even if you’ve never read the novel, you’ll still like this book. It has great illustrations and a really funny story to it. If you like gothic and ghost stories but don’t want to read anything violent or creepy, this one is a good choice. I really liked it and it was cool how the characters were drawn in so much detail in the graphic novel.
