Let’s Connect: African Heritage Month 2022 at Halifax Public Libraries

If you're interested in developing and running a program, contact us!

Through Our Eyes: The Voices of African Nova Scotians

This year’s African Heritage Month provincial theme, Through Our Eyes: The Voices of African Nova Scotians, recognizes the longstanding history of people of African Descent in the development of Canada. This theme explores and examines the effects of anti-Black racism, and honours the voices of African Nova Scotians who blazed the trail for change.

Interested in developing and running a program with the Library?

Made possible by the TD Ready Commitment, Halifax Public Libraries is looking to fund and support community programs that explore this year’s theme. Programming can be offered from February to April 2022 and can be offered in person or virtually. Library staff can support you with funding and experienced program planners.
