We kicked off African Heritage Month 2025 with an unforgettable Opening Night Celebration at Halifax Central Library's Paul O’Regan Hall in late January. Filled with music, joy, and togetherness, it was a night to celebrate Black brilliance.
The evening was filled with powerful performances, heartfelt reflections, and a true sense of community. From the soulful sounds of Cyndi Cain and Rhythm of Africa to the energizing beats of Drummers from Home, the night set the perfect tone for a month of celebration, learning, and connection. Local leaders took the stage to share inspiring words, reminding us of the rich history and enduring legacy of African Nova Scotians.
