On October 5, 2019, Cole Harbour Public Library celebrated its 30th Anniversary. It was a great day full of community spirit and conversation.
As a special way to launch our day of story-sharing, the Library invited some local guests to share their memories.
MP Dartmouth-Cole Harbour Darren Fisher and HRM Councillor Lorelei Nicoll told us about the Library's early days, when they would bring their kids to a program and take the time to enjoy looking through the books and DVDs. Both political leaders have sent the Library grow along with their children, and were happy to have been a part of it all.
Thank you MP Fisher and Councillor Nicoll for sharing your stories and for being actively involved in our community and Library.
After guests and staff shared their stories, musician Bill Jardine stepped onto the stage, cake was served, we mingled, and made crafts.
Check the Gallery below for photos of friends and staff enjoying the festivities.
