We want to access your thoughts on accessibility
Halifax Public Libraries is joining the Government of Nova Scotia and many organizations across the province to turn Access By Design 2030, opens a new window into reality.
We are looking for individuals of varying abilities to form our new Accessibility Advisory Committee. With your help, we will develop an accessibility plan for Halifax Public Libraries. Together, we can make the Library a place for everyone.
The Accessibility Advisory Committee at Halifax Public Libraries will advise senior management on all matters of accessibility at the Library. Members will draw from their experiences, consult with their community, and monitor our success. We will meet approximately 4 times per year, for several hours, in an inclusive, safe space.
How to Apply
The application form consists of questions about your interest in the committee and personal experiences that may inform your participation.
If you require a printed application form or require assistance completing the online application form, please visit the Info Desk or Curbside Pick-up table at your local Library. Our staff will be happy to help you.
The application form can be completed over time. Save as you go and return to complete when you are ready.
