Shaped by our community
Halifax Public Libraries is an evolving reflection of our community. So, when we decided to update our visual identity, we knew it had to reflect our diverse and vibrant community. In 2016, we kicked off our Let's Talk Libraries campaign, asking you to share your perspectives on the Library. Your insights shaped our new look and feel, which we unveiled in January 2017.
A colourful, flexible symbol emerged from your feedback and our vision for the future. It brightens our branches, web and social media, and more.
Paper & pixels: a perfect pair
Inspired by paper and pixels, the new Library symbol weaves together all 14 unique Halifax Public Libraries branches. It lets content and people shine through. Expressive but consistent. Playful yet functional.
The most exciting part? Our new brand is infinitely diverse, just like our community.
And, just like your Library, we hope you'll see yourself reflected in it. Our Library. Your Library. #MyLibrary.
Reflecting our community, we are a resource for everyone and a launch point for growth.
