Ten Blog

Music Galore by Talia, Teen Blogger

It's kinda a blah time of year isn't it, waiting for a spring that is taking forever while summer is still a ways away? So, what can you do to get rid of the springtime blues? Why not load up your iPod with some new tunes or put a CD in the music player, pop those headphones in, and start dancing! I'm going to share some of my favourite recent CDs with you to give you some brand new songs to listen and dance to!

Red by Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift – Red

I am a huge Taylor Swift fan. I have all her albums and have even seen her in concert. So of course I got her newest CD as soon as it came out! I was a little surprised though. It's not like any of her old music at all. It has a brand new feel to it. I was sceptical as to whether I'd like it at first, but the more I listened to it, the more and more I loved it. Even if you haven't liked Taylor Swift's music before, I would still suggest you listen to it because it's a whole new type of music! It also has songs for every type of mood -- happy, loving life songs and also slower songs for when you just want to relax. She also does a lot of duets on this CD, including one with Ed Sheeran. What could be better, right?

Take Me Home - One Direction - CDcover

One Direction – Take Me Home

Okay, okay, okay. Hold it right there. I know what you're thinking --  "Oh no! Not another Directioner!" Fine, I'll admit it. Guilty as charged. I have all their CDs, posters in my room, t- shirts, the whole shebang. BUT, that's not why I'm recommending this CD. This is just an awesome, awesome CD. Even people who don't like One Direction love this. It's just that good. It makes you want to get up, dance and party all night long. It also has some really sweet songs that are perfect for slow dancing with that special someone (or for just listening to while thinking of them). So put your judgement of One Direction (good or bad) aside and just listen to the music. You'll be so happy that you did!

California 37 - CD cover

Train – California 37

This is just a perfect medium that everyone can agree on. It's not too country, not too rock-ish, not even too 'Teen Pop-y'. I mean, who doesn't love Train? The track list is great with songs that make you think, songs that make you sing along, and songs that make you just laugh out loud because of their ingenious, funny lyrics. "50 Ways To Say Goodbye" still makes me laugh, no matter how many times I listen to it! California 37 is a very different and refreshing CD.

So there you have it - my top 3 CD picks of the season. Hopefully listening to all of this new (not to mention completely awesome) music will keep the winter blahs away and keep you dancing until spring ans summer finally gets here!
