Family Movie Night by Talia, Teen Blogger

What's better than sitting down with your family in the evening to enjoy a good movie? Our family has our fair share of movie nights, and I love them!
Here are some movies that are appropriate for all ages - so you can watch it with your whole family, younger siblings included.
Don't let the ratings fool you though, these are some of my favourite movies of all time and you'll love them no matter how old you get.
So pop some popcorn, put in the movie and settle down for a couple hours of entertainment that your whole family will agree on.
Megamind - DVD cover

Megamind: This is always a first choice movie in our house. It's probably the funniest movie I've ever seen and it will make you laugh even when you watch it over, and over, and over again. The dialogue is amazing and we quote it to each other all the time. If you have never seen this movie before, put it at the top of your list. It's a definite must see!!

The Muppets - DVD

The Muppets (2011): I was never a big fan of the Muppets so I wasn't too excited when my dad announced it was the movie for the night. I thought it would just be a so-so movie. Was I ever wrong.  It was hilarious. Some parts were so outrageous you just couldn't help but laugh out loud! It also had music in it that was upbeat and catchy, and that made you want to sing right along. (Sounds cheesy I know, but watch it and you'll see what I mean.) Whether you're a fan of the Muppets or not, you can't help but love this movie!

Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs - DVD

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs: Another great funny family friendly movie. Who doesn't love when giant food falls from the sky right? Ice cream instead of snow? Meatballs instead of rain? What's not to love?

Charlottes' Web - DVD cover

Charlotte's Web: The classic book comes to life in this story of the pig, spider, rat, and many other animals that work together.  Beware - this is a sad movie. It still makes me cry no matter how many times I watch it. A great film, but make sure you have the tissues handy!

Toy Story 1 - DVD

Toy Story 1, 2, & 3: I'm adding these just in case you haven't seen them yet.  Why not watch them back to back and make it a movie marathon? Even if you've already seen them, why don't you watch them again? They never get old and are just as good the second, third, even the tenth time around!

So those are some of my favourite family movies (along with Cars, Finding Nemo, and Monsters Inc.)  I hope you try them out and find out that you love them just as much as I do. And to top it off, you get to spend some quality time with your family. What could be better?
