Anne Hathaway - Brilliant Actor, Les Misérables Star by Gina, Teen Blogger

With the December release of Les Misérables in movie theaters everywhere, there’s no better time to get to know one of its biggest stars, Anne Hathaway. Hathaway is an American actress, born on November 12, 1982 in Brooklyn, New York. She has played many important roles in several successful movies and is very well known. She’s also received awards such as the Austin Film Critics Award, Golden Globe, Critics Choice Award, and Teen Choice Award for her outstanding performances.

One of the reasons people like Anne is that when she’s in a movie, it’s like she isn’t trying to "act it out." Everything she does in her movies looks so natural which makes her an excellent actress. Not only that, she has the kind of charm that makes audiences understand the characters she’s playing and the situations they’re facing.

Anne Hathaway makes acting seem effortless and inspires many young people to try acting. It is said by many actors and actresses that it takes a lot of practice and experience to perform well. Meryl Streep, also an American actress who has played roles in successful movies such as Mamma Mia! and The Devil Wears Prada once said, “Acting is not about being someone different. It’s finding the similarity in what is apparently different, then finding myself in there.” Acting can be done by everyone, but no one said doing it well was easy.

I've learned from great actors and their movies that in order to be influential, actors need to figure out and understand characters’ different thoughts and their life philosophies. Fully empathizing with a person’s individuality is the only way they can be romantic — romantic in terms of being very emotional and sensitive. “I want to play a character I’ve never been before — a crazy serial killer like Charlize Theron in Monster. I’d love to have to shave my head,” said Jennifer Lawrence, “The Girl on Fire” in the Hunger Games. And Anne Hathaway once said, “I want to work with people that frighten me and excite me… [Even when] I don’t believe I’m the best person for the part, I’m still gonna try anyway. Those are my favourite roles.” This shows how she would like to take on challenges to improve herself.
