Shaped by our community.

January 23, 2017

Hello, Halifax!

Meet your new Halifax Public Libraries brand.

When we decided to update our brand, we knew it had to reflect the people we serve. Through our Let's Talk Libraries campaign, you shared important insights that have shaped this new look and feel.

A colourful, flexible symbol emerged from your feedback and our vision for the future. You'll see it begin to brighten our branches, web and social media, and more.

Paper & Pixels: A Perfect Pair

Inspired by paper and pixels, the new Library symbol weaves together all fourteen unique Halifax Public Libraries branches. It lets content and people shine through. Expressive but consistent. Playful yet functional.

And, the most exciting part?

Our new brand is infinitely diverse, just like our community!

And just like your library, we hope you'll see yourself reflected in it.

Our Library. Your Library. #MyLibrary

Reflecting our community, we are a resource for everyone and a launch point for growth.
