Remembering the legacy
Halifax North Memorial Public Library
In 1964, the Halifax City Regional Library Board received $100,000 from the Halifax Relief Commission to support the building of a library in the north end of Halifax which would commemorate the victims of the 1917 Halifax Explosion.

The branch also features a Memorial Book "Halifax Explosion, 1917." Produced in 1966, it contains a calligraphic listing of all those known to be killed in the tragic explosion.
